Cane + Austin
Cane+Austin is an easy-to-use at-home skincare line sold via their brand website and Sephora (both online and in-store). Specializing in the power of sugar cane and Glycolic Acid ingredients to reverse the signs of aging, skin pigmentation, and acne.
The Challenge: Sephora is one of the largest beauty retail stores in the world and has increased C+A’s brand recognition with 30% of brand online sales coming from in-store referral. However, C+A’s existing brand website felt clinical, lacked clarity in purpose, and most importantly the educational portion of how Glycolic Acid works for the client was buried underneath poor informational structure.
My role included model casting, photoshoot concepts, art direction, and UI design. My role as the lead designer was to execute the Ecommerce UI Design and strategize their existing brand website to create a balanced personal in-store informational experience and suggest hand-picked products that aren’t a one-size fit all solution.
strategy behind the myskinid quiz
As mentioned Sephora has increased C+A’s brand recognition with 30% of brand online sales coming from in-store referral. To help bridge the gap between an online and in-store educational experience, I strategized the informative “My Skin ID” quiz component that is tailored to suggest products aligned with the consumer’s skin needs based on their answers.
